The European Drosophila Population Genomics Consortium (DrosEU), a collaborative consortium of scientists and laboratories interested in evolutionary genetics and genomics of Drosophila melanogaster, was founded in 2013. The main objective is to cooperate closely in collecting, generating and analysing genomic and environmental data for numerous Drosophila populations across Europe (and beyond). The consortium fosters the exchange and integration of data across a large number of laboratories and researchers across the continent. DrosEU also closely collaborates with Dros-RTEC, the Drosophila Real Time Evolution Consortium in the US.

I became an associate member of DrosEU in 2018 and have found the community to be highly collaborative and friendly with Principal Investigators and associate members working together productively.
